The United Kingdom is a favorite destination for many Americans—and for me personally—thanks to our shared history, ancestry, and strong ties. Every time I visit, it feels a bit like coming home.

Still, planning a trip can raise concerns, especially about driving on the opposite side of the road or deciding where to go. That’s why I created a sample 10-day itinerary through England and Scotland, based on my own travels.

This itinerary avoids the need to drive and limits hotel changes to just one, with options to customize or adjust the length to suit your preferences.
